How do I get a quote for my move?
Contact us via our website, phone, or email to obtain a free, no-obligation quote. We may schedule an in-home or virtual survey to assess your moving needs and provide an accurate, detailed estimate.
What services do you offer?
We offer local moving, long-distance moving, packing and packing materials, furniture disassembly and reassembly, short- and long-term storage, and loading and unloading for customer-rented trucks. We also handle office and commercial moves, including evening, weekend and phased moves. Specialty services and custom crating are arranged through third parties at an additional charge.
How far in advance should I book my move?
During peak season, book at least three weeks ahead, and earlier if you can. No deposit is required.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Ciceros' Moving & Storage is registered as a household goods mover in Georgia (GA PSC 207793) and holds federal authority (USDOT 980198, MC 417787). We carry business insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance when your building or facility requires one. Valuation protection for your belongings is separate from our business insurance. What is included in my moving quote?
Local moves are estimated individually and billed on actual time, unless you ask for a not-to-exceed amount and we agree to one. Distance is measured between the pickup and delivery addresses. Moves within 50 miles are local. Georgia moves over 50 miles are handled like long-distance moves. Long-distance delivery spreads follow the transit guide, based on shipment weight and distance. Packing and packing materials are added to your estimate when you request them.
How do you handle fragile or valuable items?
Basic released-value protection is available at no additional charge. Full Value Protection is available at an additional charge. Options, deductibles and requirements differ between Georgia and interstate moves, and we explain them before your move. This is valuation protection, separate from our business insurance. Custom crating and other specialty services are handled through third parties at an additional charge.
What happens if my move date changes?
There are no rescheduling fees. We accommodate date changes whenever they don't create a scheduling conflict, so tell us as early as you can.
How long will my move take?
It depends on the size of the move. Local moves are billed on actual time, so the length depends on how much you are moving, access at both addresses and the distance between them. Long-distance delivery timing follows the transit guide, based on shipment weight and distance. Contact us for an estimate for your move.
What should I do to prepare for the move?
Book early, especially in peak season. Decide whether you will pack yourself or have us pack. Packing is optional and priced separately, and we sell packing materials if you pack yourself, with pickup available. Disconnect appliances before moving day, because we do not disconnect or reconnect them. We reassemble standard furniture we disassemble, such as beds and tables.
What is your cancellation policy?
There is no cancellation fee and no deposit. If your plans change, let us know as soon as you can. We accommodate changes whenever they don't create a scheduling conflict.
